Alessi toaster stands out for its multiple functions. Not only does it toast bread, it also warms up croissants, sandwiches, focaccias and frozen bread. The body is made of stainless steel while the base and crumb tray, the latter being particularly easy to clean, are made of polycarbonate. Different levels of toasting may be achieved on the basis of the type of bread used and of personal preference. Furthermore, the toaster also offers reheating, defrosting and bun-warming functions. The toaster comes with a special stainless steel grill that fastens to the toaster to warm croissants, sandwiches and focaccias. To turn the toaster on, simply lower the lever. As soon as the toasting cycle is completed the toast will automatically be ejected. This toaster allows you to toast two slices of bread at the same time. Furthermore, if the slices are small, the inbuilt extra-lift mechanism may be used to raise the bread so as to facilitate removal once toasted.Finally, a pair of useful stainless steel tongs, not included in the box, may be used to brown and toast sandwiches.
