This review is from: Black and Decker CTO6140 B&d 6 Sl Toaster Oven Con (Kitchen) It looks nice, has good size for mini meals, but puts off a lot of heat and does not regulate heat well. Toasting very hard to adjust - either burned or warm and never the same twice - you have to monitor it. I've always liked Black and Decker but am disappointed with this one. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Doodle "Doodle" (Oxnard, California) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Although it takes a long time to heat and cook-the food does however cook better when used as an oven. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Melani Morris (Canton, GA, US) - See all my reviews This review is from: Black and Decker CTO6140 B&d 6 Sl Toaster Oven Con (Kitchen) I just replaced my Cuisinart toaster oven with this Black and Decker one, and am thrilled with the results. My old one burned everything, and did not have a timer. I have used the timer on the Black and Decker to bake muffins, and it gets it right the first time! I never could have baked in my old ovens. The outside does get very hot, but it still maintains the inside temperature by turning the heating elements on and off. You can hear the fan running as it distributes the heat, preventing hot spots which can burn food. I have used it to re-heat pizza (which didn't burn - yay!) and to toast bagels (which do take longer to toast than using a toaster, since the heating elements are further away from the toast.) with very nice results. Overall, I am very pleased with this oven, and will buy another one if this one ever breaks. Keep building this one, guys! |
