Comment: Simply put, this toaster just doesn't toast. I am convinced that you could put toast in this toaster and it would actually un-toast your toast.

Comment: This toaster is wonderful! The slots are even big enough for thick slices of homemade bread. When my much-used old toaster died, I checked out many other brands and decided on this Black & Decker, and I could not be more satisfied.

Comment: This toaster is much more better than the 2-slice toasters I've bought in the past. The toast comes out perfect without over drying out like the smaller toasters. I would recomend this product to anyone looking for a new toaster.

Summary: Very disappointing!! 2008-12-09
Comment: I was very excited when I got this toaster. My old one, after 5 years, died a quick death. I missed toast very much, so when I got this, I put it to work right away with a smile on my face. Putting in the selected piece of bread, I waited with baited breath for a piece of toast!! Not only did it not "toast", it took forever to pop up. I tried all slots and all were equally heartbreaking!! I called the customer service hot line and they apologized and said if I clipped off the cord and sent that in, I would get another toaster. Figuring I had a "lemon" I again anxiously awaited a brand new toaster. Again, I put in the slice of bread, waiting, waiting, waiting....and putting it on the highest position for toast, it bearly toasts. I will NEVER get a black and decker again. Very disappointing, especially when I love toast so very much. The best thing about this is it looks great on the counter!! I bearly give it a 1 star...!

Summary: Hosty Boasty Toasty... 2008-12-08
Comment: So far so good. Four slots with choices of bagels, toast/loaf etc is nice. LEDs allow you to know which mode you are using with a cancel switch (very handy if you are in hurry!). 4 stars because the heat intensity is controlled through a dial (not that it has any problem at all), and would have been nice it was a digital control (may be next model??) Overall, a very nice looking/working good toaster.
