I have owned many toasters, from expensive english models to this basic black and decker. Over the years, I have concluded that it doesn't matter how much a toaster costs, it will only last 1-2 years. This black and Decker model seems ok. It does quite well with bagels and frozen items, but regular toast seems to puzzle it. Without changing the settings, two subsequent batches of toast will emerge without any consistency at all. While the toast is rarely burned, it is also never perfect at first try, no matter what the level is set to. That being said, it works, and it cost only around $20, so I can't really complain.

i bought mine from amazon.com. the price with two day shipping was great. mine works great. i use it just about every day. i make toast. i toast my buns for sandwiches. i use the bagel switch a lot. i am very happy with this product.

update: it lasted two weeks and just absolutely refused to work again. i tested it out on other power outlets with no success.

I looked through alot of toasters most of them more than what I wanted then I ran into this one after finding a picture I bought it and it arrived in perfect condition works great used it to make a bagel first time I got it out of the box. Comes with Adjustable knobs for heat settings as well as settings to make certain kinds of foods like bagels toast etc.. Great little product and it looks great on the counter :)
