OMG where do I start!? We are two culinary people under one roof. Because of that, I am always on the lookout for great gadgets. But one that saves time in the kitchen, makes eggs better than I could cook em up without it, AND saves on fat and calories...oooo now that's a keeper!

Saves time: No pans to handwash after frying up an egg. just wipe the nonstick tiny pan you sprayed with non-stick cooking spray out when done. And you don't need to keep an eye on the eggs. Just put them in, set for the desired doneness you want (I like mine cooked all the way through, but you can make yours sunny side up...your choice!), and walk away and go about your business...in a few minutes it will turn itself off when your eggs are cooked to perfection.

I received this product as a gift to replace our old (5+ years) single egg/2 slice machine that was taking 15 minutes to finish one egg and had many broken parts from years of use.

The machine appears moderately well built of decent materials - not professional quality, but should last a few years of regular use. I like the larger cooking area for more eggs/sausages/etc. I put one egg, one sausage and one hashbrown potato patty in the cooker with fill the provided cup full of water and pour it in. Put my two slices of tost in, press the Egg/Toast button and then push the toaster down and it does everyting else. When the toast pops up it's all done - assemble into a sandwich with a slice of cheese, little maple syrup on the hashbrown and a sprinkle of cinnamon and you've got a delicious breakfast sandwich in about 5 minutes.

But...there's one problem - the toast is cold, and hard, and dry.

Only had this a few days, but we're very happy with it. So far we've toasted whole wheat bread, whole-wheat muffins, and whole-wheat mini-bagels. The bread toasts pretty good, but it takes a couple of minutes. The muffins and mini-bagels come out kinda pale and limp if you use the dedicated bagel setting, since it only toasts on one side. The best part, though, are the POACHED EGGS ! They come out in perfect little rounds or squares (the thing has two cute mini non-stick pans on the side, one each shape) perfectly done and very easy to make, and pretty fast. My wife tells me you can also do boiled eggs, gotta try those next. It has neat soft-touch controls and takes up A LOT of counter space. So if you're in the market for a great egg poacher that also makes decent toast, this is it.
