Summary: Great Toaster - runs a little hot 2010-08-30
Comment: I love this toaster! It runs a little hot, I toast everything at 2 or 2.5. I love the bagel feature, it only toasts the inside of the bagel. Another benefit of this toast, is because it is an electronic toaster, I no longer trip the circuit breaker when I am toasting and running the coffee maker at the same time.

Summary: Finally Dark toast!! 2010-08-28
Comment: I have gone through several toasters trying to find one that makes toast dark the first time...not a pasty brown. This does it! I can get pasty brown for my family and dark dark for me without having to toast mine twice. I also love the way this toaster looks. Very happy with it! Now to get rid of the three toasters before it that sucked......

Comment: This toaster toasts toast good. If you don't want your toast burned to all hell I suggest not going past number 6 on the dial. I toast my toast at bagels and #3 on the dial. I once put an english muffin in this toaster and I had to use chopsticks to get them out.

Summary: Goodbye toaster 2010-08-22
Comment: Cuisinart CPT-120 Compact Cool-Touch 2-Slice Toaster, White Great toaster for six months then the lever refused to stay down. Cuisinart would replace it if I pay shipping for new toaster and pay shipping o have mine sent back. What's up with that?
That is almost the cost of just buying another. A toaster should last longer than six months. Will not buy another Cuisinart toaster. They have just lost a loyal Cuisinart customer.

Summary: Some nice features, but falls short 2010-08-21
Comment: This toaster is easy to clean out and looks great. However, it has some problems:
1. Although the sides remain cool to the touch throughout the toasting process, the metal top gets extremely hot. A couple of times I've had to extract bread by hand, and have been burned twice.
2. Even on the lowest setting, it overdoes my toast. I have to stand by and terminate the process manually to keep bread from getting overdone. I haven't even tried on settings of 2 or higher.
3. It has a light which is on any time the toaster is plugged in. I find this annoying, since it conveys no useful information. I find myself unplugging the toaster just to get rid of the light.
I would not buy it again, and I may even replace it at some point. Too bad, because I like its looks and its versatility in handling bagels, bread and other items to be toasted.
