Summary: Nice toaster 2010-07-31
Comment: Consumer Reports rated this toaster very highly which is why we bought it. It did not disappoint us. It's consistent, each slice is exactly the same. This isn't always true of every toaster. It has a nice blue countdown light which acts as a nightlight when you stagger into the kitchen for a drink of water at 2:00 AM.

Comment: A very attractive and inconspicuous addition to our kitchen counter. Blends well into the background, as we do not like kitchen klutter! Cooks toast and bagels to choice of darkness and does it well. No guesswork. Easy to use with countdown timer and wide slots for bagels. A good addition to our home. Recommend it for gift and giver!!! Enjoy.

Summary: two sides - one dark other white 2010-07-23
Comment: no one should be allowed to sell or call this a toaster unless they describe that it only produces toast that is burnt on one side and raw white on the other. By reading reviews I knew I had a 50-50 chance of getting proper color toast. I gambled and lost. My toastrer sucks. Enought said. Amazon take note, be more selective in your prioducts offered for sale.

Summary: Got a lemon! 2010-07-03
Comment: After reading other reviews on this toaster and also reading in Consumer Reports magazine that it was highly rated, I purchased this toaster. This will be my last expensive toaster I buy. I must have gotten one of the lemons. Consumer Reports says: "A toaster you can count on. Produced batch after batch of evenly toasted bread in our extensive tests". What a joke!! My toaster only toasts ONE side at a time. It's like it's on the bagel setting each time. I would not waste my money on this toaster. The last toaster I bought was a T-Fal which I also paid big bucks for. That did the same thing -- only toasted one side. Next time I'm buying a cheap $20 toaster.
