Worked ok for a few months, then one day stopped working, not sure if shorted out or what, but blew, literally blew my GFCI breaker, had to replace the breaker. Unit never powered back on. And after reading other google reviews where others were having same breaker problems, decided not to try and fix, just trash it.

Not worth burning down my house for a piece of toast.

Not recommended at all, garbage. Will look for a different manufacturer/model for my next one.

Just wish i could give it zero stars, but one star is 'I hate it'...

I purchased this unit because of the size, style and brand name. After a few months of relatively light use I noticed the non-stick finish peeling off of the grill pan. A short time after that the digital read-out for the heat settings and timer started to malfunction. Now the read-out is almost completly unreadable so we have no idea what the cooking temperature is.I cannot recommend this product.

When you are looking for a toaster and you buy Delonghi Do420, you get more than you bargained for! You get absolutely perfect toast by determining the level of crisp you want with an accurate dial. You should practice the first day but after that you can always get what you want.
You can also bake in the oven. For folks who want 1 person meals or just a quick lunch, this is perfect. You can also broil or just keep something warm without using a large oven making it more efficient. The bell announcing the completion of your cooking is pleasant and avoids leaving an item in too long. I love this product it is great for my family and reasonably priced.
