Comment: This is a cheaply made, badly designed and completely unsatisfactory excuse for a toaster oven. Delonghi should be ashamed of producing it.

Summary: This toaster oven cannot make toast. 2008-08-19
Comment: I returned 2 of them due to defective design. The first one that arrived had a defective knob which I would have had Delonghi replace but following the enclosed instructions for making toast, the lower element did not come on until well into the cycle so the top burned while the bottom was not toasted at all. I tried wheat bread, raisin bread and frozen waffles on several darkness settings and both rack positions. Although the unit seemed flimsy for $75 for a basic toaster oven, it was one of the few 4 slice (smaller) units and it looked OK on the counter so I had Amazon replace it. The toast function on second one was identical to the first so I returned it too. Delonghi is not a cheap brand; it should do better. Amazon should not carry this model.

Comment: Unlike every other toaster oven I have used over the past 25 years, in this one the toast rack is not connected to the door, so you have to reach inside a narrow hot oven to extract your toast. OW!
The toasting is also slow.
