Euro-Pro Convection Toaster Oven - Stainless Steel TO289N2

I wanted a small convection toaster oven that does not take up much counter space and so that I would not have to heat up the house with my big oven. I also needed to get foods crisp which a microwave just can not do. I did not buy it for toast. I have a very good toaster for that.

This Euro Pro was my choice because it had the features I wanted such as a fan, variable temperature control, and a timer with auto shutoff. As with my regular big oven I have found that convection baking cooks faster and more evenly. That is why a fan was a must.

This little oven does exactly what I want it to do. I have tried frozen waffles, pizza and various other frozen snack foods. Everything came out golden brown and crisp. I found the fan to be fairly quiet, but the ticking on the timer is a little annoying. However, when I do not need the timer and auto shutoff, then I simply turn it to Stay-On. To response to the previous reviewer- why on earth would you use a convection oven this size to make toast? Get a toaster, lady!

However, this oven has helped me bake over two hundred 9" cheesecakes that don't burn, don't sink, and are baked evenly throughout. I've only used it for baking, not for cooking. This oven is the quietest convection oven I've ever used! It heats up relatively fast, and uses considerable less energy than a full size conventional or convection oven. It's too large for a countertop, but is very handy as a second oven in a busy kitchen.

This is a much better purchase than the DeLonghi convection oven

Update- The Euro-Pro quit after a year, and I UPGRADED to an Oster 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven (WOW!)- Big enough for a pizza (read my review, on how too...!).Oster 6293 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven, Black

Pros-
This cooks FAST (had mine a year- use daily)! Convection fan drys things out- I add 15% more water to most mixes ( I LOVE the Au-Gratin potatoes mix, from Wally World!)...
I also set BAKE temp 25 degrees less than a standard oven. Less time too.

To pre-heat oven MUCH FASTER (BAKE is SLOW!)!- I use the TOAST setting (uses both the top & bottom elements!), then BE SURE & turn back to BAKE for baking...- Thermostat on BAKE is VERY accurate, BUT on TOAST is 75 degrees HIGH (I tested...)!

Cons- Convection fan is noisy at first, but quiets down when heated up.
