For the money, I can't beat it at all. It does a nice even toasting for one or two slices. And, it's sleek design blends well into my kitchen. I didn't realize how large it was till I was putting it on my countertop.

I like to toast Raisin Bread, which is smaller than normal sized slices. Two things about this toaster handled this way better than others in the same class; one is that it pinches the toast so it stays upright (and can't fall through), the other is that after the toast is done, it comes up higher than other toasters (with the exception of one other brand). I would recommend this toaster highly as a refurbished product.
