Purchased this toaster to replace a Westbend QuickServe. I paid $60 for the Westbend toaster and it never toasted evenly. This toaster, however, has been toasting the toast evenly since the first try. It is attractive and does not take up much counter space. There are two thing I do not like about the toaster, but they are minor issues. There is a beeper that goes off when your toast is done. An annoying sound. You cannot grab your toast with one hand; you have to push the toast up and grab with the other hand. I would recommend this toaster, especially for the price.

I have been needing a decent toaster for a while. My previous two were big disappointments because they did not toast both sides of the bread evenly, and the results were not consistent from day to day. I also wanted a toaster that accommodates wider/longer bread. So far, I have not had any problems with it. I quickly found the setting that toasts bread the way I like it, and it is consistent. Two slices of standard loaf bread fit well side by side in the slot. It does not appear that there would be enough room for two slices if they were any wider. Compared to other toasters I have owned, this one toasts the bread much faster. I have not yet tried the frozen or bagel options. When the toast is done, there are two fairly loud buzzes to let you know. There is no button to turn off the alarm, nor can you reduce the volume, which is why I reduced my rating to 4 stars.

We were given this toaster as a gift for Christmas, just 8 months ago. One whole side has already quit working so it only toasts on one side! Very disappointed as it matches everything in our kitchen and, when it did work, it worked great! Sigh. They don't make things like they used to!!
