Kalorik 800-Watt Silver Line 2-Slice Toaster, Beige/White

Comment: I like the style of this toaster, and I'm sure it works fine, but I am not able to use it because the slots are not long enough. I cant toast my bread as the bread I buy is typically of the "wide loaf" variety. (Orowheat whole grain). I will be returning this item. Also, I should mention that the toaster is not white as pictured. It is off white/ivory.

Comment: I was disappointed when the toaster arrived - it is over-sized and a bit clunky.

Worse, my favorite bread is too wide for the slots (not a problem with our last two toasters).

Worst: after two weeks, it either doesn't toast or it burns. This is going back.

Comment: I have been using this toaster for about six weeks and I have nothing but great results from it. I was hesitant because it said it was refurbished, but I am greatly satisfied. I love the bun toaster feature,just turn the knob and the bun rack comes up over the toaster area. Makes those homemade hamburgers or hot dogs extra special with a toasted bun! I just spray the inside of buns with olive oil and place on the rack,toast to desired brownness,oh so good!The toaster does a super job for our toasted bread also. LOVE IT!

I have used the Kalorik 2-Slice Toaster since 30 April 2008 and have not yet experienced any mechanical problems.

There are design flaws:

1. The slots are not very deep and will not toast the top half inch of a slice of sandwich bread.
2. The crumb tray is less than 4 millimeters in depth and will catch only the smallest crumbs; large crumbs will be stuck inside the toaster and must be removed by turning the toaster upside down and gently shaking them out.
3. An open slot encircles the top of the toaster and accommodates the bun warming racks; this open design allows crumbs to fall within the space between the backside of the toasting element and the plastic casing outside the toaster.
