Phantom Load warning,

This toaster inexplicably draws electricity at all times it is plugged in. While the phantom load of this toaster is modest, showing only 0.10 amp, there is no need for it. Appliance manufacturers routinely make equipment that draws power at all times, and the cumulative effect in one's home can be substantial.
The toaster draws about 1500 watts when toasting in all 4 slots, and about 1050 watts on the bagel setting due to the reduced heat on the sliced side of the bagels. Toasting time is significantly longer on the bagel setting, about 4 minutes.
There are flashing lights that give a rough idea of how much time remains before your item is toasted. They reassure progress is being made, but really add little value to the toaster.
I have been using the toaster for about 5 weeks and it does a fine job toasting bread, bagels, and english muffins. It seems reasonably well made, but at this time it is impossible to predict how long it will last. It...Read more

I received the toaster as scheduled from Amazon the best in online purchases. My girlfriend and I really enjoy it, especially the feature that raises the toast after it's done. I would recommend this toaster to anyone who is in the market for a well built toaster.

I purchased this toaster after our original toaster (15+ years old) quit working. I looked at many toasters, hoping to find a sturdy metal toaster with cool sides, so I didn't have to worry about my young kids getting burned. This one does the job. The sides remain cool while toasting, although the top area between the toaster slots does, of course, get hot. Toast, bagels, frozen waffles, etc., all come out toasted just right. There are two crumb trays for the 4-slot toaster, one on each side, and they are generously sized so that between them, they cover the entire bottom of the toaster. With this toaster, no crumbs find their way through onto the counter, so the counter stays neat. We're very happy with this toaster. We've had it for about 4 months, and so far it is sturdy, reliable, easy to clean, and makes great toast.
