Summary: KitchenMaid Toaster 2010-01-30
Comment: I was very disappointed with this product. I bought it for the name and figured it would be a good toaster. For one it takes too long to toast even bread. I also have trouble adjusting for toast with out burning it or under toasting it. I am amazed how long it takes to toast. The longest time I have ever seen in a toaster. I wish I had my old toaster back.

Summary: the opening is way too small 2010-01-10
Comment: i fell for this toaster on looks alone. for as big as it is, you would think you could fit a normal sized piece of bakery bread in it but no, only bagels and packaged, square styro-bread will fit. what a waste of a good looking toaster. it's not like they didn't have room to make the opening a tiny bit longer. there is dead space where my bread should be.

Summary: Well built - But "can I have my toast please?" 2010-01-01
Comment: Sturdy toaster, well built and a bargain with the Amazon sale price AND a $10 rebate. However, it certainly does take a long time to toast. My old $10 toaster would toast a slice of bread in about a minute. This Kitchenaid toaster takes what seem like forever in comparison. The toast usually comes out evenly cooked, but if you use a thin piece of bread, it can curl over in the "basket" that holds it and get crunchy on that edge.

Summary: Not sure 2009-12-12
Comment: Pro: This Toaster is built solid. I like the bagel setting. Con:Toastet bread comes out uneven. If you look inside the toaster during toasting the outside heating elements getting much redder than the inside.A replacement toaster worked about the same way.So when I toast bread,I toast in two steps by turning the inside to the outside.

Summary: Hate this toaster 2009-12-05
Comment: I bought this toaster a while back and within one month started having problems. When it works, it works great, but without warning it will continue to toast and burn whatever is in there. Then occasionally the arm won't stay down and I have to hold it for the three minutes or so of toasting. Highly annoying. It happened so infrequently that I've just dealt with it, since we only use it maybe once or twice a week. It's happening almost all the time now, so I will either contact KitchenAid, or buy a cheap toaster. It's too bad because it's really cute, but very frustrating to use. I love KitchenAid appliances, but wouldn't buy another toaster from them.
