Product Description
Unmistakable KitchenAid style and quality. Easy to use with extra wide slots and Baker's Bagel toasting system for gentle browning. Precise, even heating, warming function and soft-rise feature. Also includes an easy-lift lever, self-centering racks, stainless steel interior, removable crumb tray and under-base cord storage. In a sleek, heat-resistant polycarbonate housing. Model KTT340. Manufacturer's one-year warranty. Amazon.com Review
This compact two-slot toaster from KitchenAid comes with a menu of toasting features and a sturdy, user-friendly structure. KitchenAid's Even Heat system automatically adjusts the heavy-gauge heating elements, so toast comes out consistently, even in large batches. A bagel function toasts the cut side of bagels, while simply warming the crusts, and a warming function gently reheats previously toasted foods. The Easy Lift lever and Soft Rise feature are both helpful when lowering slices or raising them to a graspable height. Notably wide and deep, the self-centering dual slots accommodate thick slices of brioche or fat bagels. Other handy details include a dial for shade control, "cut side" markings for bagel toasting, power indicator lights, a dishwasher-safe crumb tray, and power cord storage hooks. The toaster's stainless-steel interior and polycarbonate housing are built to last and easy to clean. The unit measures 11 by 7-3/4 by 6-3/4 inches. --Emily Bedard

Summary: KitchenAid makes a great toaster 2008-08-05
Comment: It is easy to use and toasts quickly and fairly evenly. You can control how dark you want it. It also has controls for bagels and muffins so that you only toast the one side. There is a warm button as well. It is compact so that it doesn't take up as much space as some of the other newer ones and does better than a toaster oven.

Summary: So Glad I Purchased This! 2008-08-04
Comment: This toaster is great! Besides being the perfect color for my kitchen, it has slots that are big enough to allow me to toast bagels in the morning and has a special setting for such an occasion. I also love the warm functions, it is great for keeping thigs warm without burning them! All in all I am so glad I purchased this item, it has been a great investment and it has completed my kitchen (since I have red small appliances) I love it and highly recommend it!

Summary: Nice Toaster 2008-07-22
Comment: I have not used this toaster very long and do not use a toaster very often, but so far it is very nice and seems to toast more evenly than others I have had.

Summary: Great Pedigree - Looks Nice - Doesn't Quite Do the Job 2008-07-12
Comment: After reading every toaster review I could find, my instinct told me not to spend over $15 on one. It seems that this is one category of appliance that modern technology, alas, has not improved upon. In fact, I have yet to find a toaster that is at least as functional as the ones manufactured 30 years ago. But this pretty toaster won me over. I agree with the other buyers that, after "guess-timating" and "babysitting" this item while in use, it can ultimately present a good piece of toast; however, not without human intervention. There seems to be a missing link between "too light" and "cremated." Caveat emptor.
