Krups ToastSupreme (Refubished)

When shopping online, the color of an item as shown can never be trusted. This toaster appeared to be a cream color, which, along with it's retro design, was a grabber
for me. Alas, it turns out to be your basic white. Boring. Boring. Boring. But it's just a toaster and that's not a big deal considering the low price. A more legitimate beef
is that it does not toast evenly. The bottoms of a sliced bagel go entirely untoasted while the top tends to burn. Clearly I will have to learn the subtleties of the temperature
knob but that shouldn't make any difference in terms of evenness. This is a refurbishedd toaster but often things that are refurbished go through an inspection process more
thorough than the original...still it does dull one's argument. I guess I got what I payed for.
