Comment: This toaster is very attractive as far as toasters go. That is about it for positive features. As commented by others, the slots are too narrow for many types of bread. We love a wheat bread from a warehouse store and had to shove it in the slots to get it to fit. Also it never toasted evenly on both sides. One side would be raw and the other heavily toasted. We returned this product immediately. Really, how hard can it be to make a decent toaster?

Comment: The kid in me loves the countdown feature. Could be a little better time wise but nice even toasting. Seems to be getting even better with use if that's possible. Sharp looking so I even leave it out on the counter.

Comment: My wife and I are very pleased with this toaster. Definately the best toast of any toaster we have had - Very consistant
Count-down timer is nice as is the bagel setting to toast the inside of the bagel more than the outside.
Looks good too. The cord is approximately 18" which is plenty if the toaster is near an outlet.
My only Con is that it is light weight; but that is not a problem.

Comment: It was a nice toaster and I liked the lcd display but a little over a year the whole unit went poof. literally. I put two pieces of bread in, pushed down the handle, ten seconds later a loud snap and a poof of white smoke came out of it. Something shorted behind the LCD panel, so it fried the LCD and whatever logic board it had rendering the unit unusable. I kept it well maintained so it wasn't like there was a mountain of crumbs stuck in there that shorted out the heating elements.

I will probably go back to a unit that doesn't have a LCD and computer chips. The simple toasters seem to last a LOT longer.

Krups only offers 1 year warranty unfortunately.
