Nesco American Harvest JS-4000TE Jet Stream Oven with Free Expander Ring

I bought this here at Amazon to replace my Sharp microwave/convection grill 2 that died after 5 years of steady use. I am overall pretty happy with this appliance.
Makes great (large) pizza, which is comparable to the aforementioned oven.

It also make lots of things that are not in the cookboook. Like small beef roasts and they always turn out perfect.

Makes perfect fried potatoes in 15 minutes I may never buy frozen potatoes again. Plus I can avoid unhealthy fats of all kinds by using my own fats such as olive oil and/or coconut oil or butter, of course. Or even healthy lard is great to use.

A previous reviewer complained about food flying around but you should use the top rack to keep that from happening. You really should read the manual as it is very helpful and has diagrams for how the racks should be used based on what you are cooking.

I own an earlier but very similar version of this convection oven which I bought more than 7 years ago. I would not hesitate even a bit to say that this is one of the best investments I ever made in the wide array of kitchen appliances that I own. If you love fried food but are afraid of all that excessive fat, look no further. This oven will drain the fat in no time and will make your french fries, KFC, beef patties, frozen fish fingers or chicken nuggets (and you name it) crispy, fat free and delicious. You can broil stuff in it as well, though i won't recommend this (use conventional oven to do this). Initially I had a problem with the unit where the heating coil stopped heating after first couple of uses. Nesco was great in sending me a replacement unit each time while still under warranty (they were kind enough to send me another one even when it was out of warranty after I explained the situation). I bought a Jetstream and lost it when my house was flooded (the motor was submerged) and I really miss it! I love to bake and this oven gave me the best results -- fluffy scones, great bread, etc. My only complaint was that I could only use my smaller pans (because of the round shape). The Expander ring is ESSENTIAL!!
