Comment: I ordered this because I had always been intrigued by the claims in the infomercials. This oven would be good in a dorm or RV or anyplace where there is no other cooking method, since it broils, roasts and grills and you can get a crispiness that microwaves won't give you.

Yes, it cooks faster than traditional ovens, but that's mostly because a) it's a smaller area to heat up and almost all the heat goes directly into the food and not a big empty space, and b) the convection fan keeps the heat circulating; not because there's some magic to the "infra-red" heating.

It's a heavy and bulky item, which you are not likely to drag out of hiding on a regular basis if you already have an oven, stove, microwave and/or toaster oven. Unless your kitchen is one of those big House & Garden marvels, you will not have enough surface space to find a place to put this for the cooking process, let alone leave it out all the time. If you need an extra oven for cooking something at the same time your regular oven is in use, this would come in handy.

Lifting the lid to turn or check cooking is an exercise in caution, as the heating element remains hot, and there's really no place to put the hood while you are working with your food (forget the lid holder, it causes the lid to partially obstruct the oven). When your food is done, you still have to put the hood somewhere where it can cool down. The tray does not stay as cool as they lead you to believe but still manageable with bare hands.

Really, unless you need to cook a large turkey, save your money and go for a large toaster oven if you have no other cooking device.

Comment: It's been a little over a month now and I have to say the NuWave oven is working out quite well. I don't cook everything but anything i tried breakfast,Lunch or Dinner seems to come out fine. Learn to play with the cook times though because the recommended times are sometimes too long and meat will over cook & dry out. Seems best with fresh meat cooked at room temperature. Reheating works awesome especially with Pizza.....but again, set the cooktime more then the 4min reheat time and things should reheat well. I'd definitely recommend this but i should also note, i read a lot of reviews and i also bought on Amazon as opposed to the company website as there were WAY too many horror stories.

Comment: We purchased this oven because it looked great on the info-mercials. We did some research and found that the shipping charges from the company running the commercial were outrageous. What a surprise to find this exact product on Amazon with most of the options for a comparable price and reasonable shipping!

The oven is great so far, but with only limited use to this point. We made a couple of meals starting with frozen fish and chicken. The meat came out perfect although it took significantly longer than stated in the instructions that came with the unit. But that was not a big deal since the unit is really quiet.

We were so impressed that we bought another for my mother and had it sent to her. She loves it as well.

Here are our only criticisms so far:
* The top is a little awkward to open and close since it is fairly large
* The little wire top holder they supply is just begging to get lost
* The unit takes a little longer to cook frozen meat than advertised

Summary: The Best Investment I've Made for My Kitchen! 2010-05-15
Comment: I purchased the NuWave 20326 Pro Digital Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven and must say I've never been more pleased with a kitchen appliance than this one! It is very easy to use, a cinch to clean up, wonderful for using frozen foods right out of the freezer without defrosting, and cooks foods very healthy by removing the fats and oils to help control one's cholesterol. I've never had steaks, chicken, roasts, etc. cook so perfectly and tender. Bacon turns out perfectly! Convenience foods such as egg rolls and corn dogs are done to perfection.

Plus the NuWave saves money on my electric bill not having to heat my big electric oven year-round (and thus heating up the whole kitchen) I also purchased the accessory package of the cover extender ring, second level grill and pizza turner/cover. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a healthy and economical way to roast, fry, broil, bake, re-heat, toast, dry fruits and veggies, etc. I use it every day!

Comment: My wife purchased the NuWave about 1 month ago. It is fast, easy to use, while doing a good job of cooking. It replaced our countertop convention oven and has the speed of the microwave we had stopped using for health reasons. Food tastes good and is good for warming food.

It stays on our counter and is used several times a day on normal days. We are still learning to use it with different types of foods. The only drawback is that the enamel cooking pans are losing their finish. The stainless steel would have been better.
