Summary: Toaster metal rest got stuck very quickly 2010-03-07
Comment: Having lots of trouble getting a basic item like a toaster to work consistently without breaking down. This one, as another reviewer wrote, has flimsy metal for the rest on which the bread sits. After a couple of months of working well, one side of the rest got stuck and would not move up or down without being pulled or pushed by a stick (a wooden chopstick worked fine). I assumed it had got caught or bent somehow, so I was prepared to take the toaster apart and do what I expected to be an easy fix.

There were no screws to take the toaster apart, I tried a few other ways to pry off the cover but failed. So it was either resort to brute force or throw the thing away. I got so fed up I just binned it, and will try a Dualit 25375 Lite 2-Slice Toaster, Soft Touch Black next.

Comment: THIS TOASTER IS REALLY BIG AND NICE BUT ITS NOT ALL STAINLESS STEEL LIKE THE PICS SHOWS AND SAYS IT IS, IT HAS BLACK ON EACH SIDE OF THE TOASTER

Summary: Uneven Toast 2009-02-07
Comment: I was sent this model toaster from the manufacture as a replacement for another pricier model that stopped working in a short period of time. This model burns the toast on one side. Time to try a new brand.

Summary: It toasts. Otherwise, not impressed. 2006-03-05
Comment: This toaster is made cheaply. It takes two or three times to get the lever to stay pushed down so that it will toast. It seems like one level burns a bit while the next notch down makes it not quite toasted enough. It feels very cheap, like I'm about to break the lever each time I use it. However, there is one good feature: it allows you to pull up on the lever to raise the toast up high enough that you can pull it out without burning yourself.

Summary: Toast well; But 2006-01-12
Comment: I loved the style, functions and even toasting of this model! Too bad the slice rest are a little flimsy; made of cheap metal. After three days, one bent, using the high-lift feature. Which caused it to get stuck down and not raise anymore; If Oster would use a different type or grade metal; it would be A Great Toaster! Needless to say I had to return it to Wal-Mart yesterday, and I searched for a different make with sturdier rest. Respectfully Submitted, John W. Adam
