I bought this Oster unit to replace a Toastmater digital convection oven model TOV211 that we had for 8-9 years and liked. One of the first things we wanted to do with the Oster oven was a frozen pizza. We found the Palermo's and Tombstone frozen pizza would fit only if the pizza edge were turned up about 1 inch on the side and front. In my opinion, this is NOT acceptable. Especially since it advertised on the box, and the box even shows a pizza inside the oven. The Oster seemed to perform toating just as well as the old unit. And the case gets warm about the same as the old unit, you do not want to leave any kind of plastic on top of it, it will melt/deform. But I do not think it gets hot enough to ignite paper.
For us, the Oster went back to the store because of the non-fitting pizza.
