I'm sending each of my teens off to college with one of these--and keeping mine for myself! Just a quick spray of oil inside top and bottom, an egg in each "bowl", poke each yolk with a fork (or a toothpick and toss), sprinkle a couple of drops of water on each (for steam), close the lid, microwave 30-35 seconds, take a peek, micro another 20 seconds or more as needed. Open lid, perfectly poached egg eases out with a push from the fork--no sticking, no mess, no clean up. Ready for another set. Throw in top dishwasher rack for sparkling clean or rinse with a soapy dishcloth, rinse and dry. Perfect poached eggs for toast, breakfast sandwiches. Didn't know lid could be used for cooking, too. Now, when eggs are done and bread is toasting, will put a couple pieces of Canadian bacon on the lid "rack". Seconds later, poached egg, Canadian bacon on toast. Or for one serving, an egg in one "bowl", the bacon in the other. Take the bacon out after the first peek. Pour a glass of orange juice and...Read more

I eat a breakfast sandwich every single morning and it calls for a poached egg. I bought this one because it was inexpensive and I wasn't entirely sure if I would make that many breakfast sandwiches. Well 2 yrs later I am looking for one that makes more than 2 eggs at a time, but unless you use this as much as I do it will likely be more than sufficient.
It can hold any size egg and it's best to make 2 at a time. Eggs have a tendancy to explode unless you stop them 2/3 of the way through and poke at them with a fork a bit. Clean-up is a pain in the behind and putting it in the dishwasher only leaves you with stuck-on cooked egg. However it's easy to store, does the job and you have perfectly poached eggs in 2+ minutes. I am giving 5 stars because I have more than gotten my monies worth and it does make nice, evenly cooked eggs.

This is exactly what I wanted. I use it to cook scrambled eggs that are round and fit on biscuits. My husband loves sausage, egg biscuits and when you use egg rings they are flat and you have to use oil. You fill this up half way,(no oil, so no fat) microwave for 1min 15 sec, wait 1 min. and you're ready. I put a paper towel inside and turn over. The eggs will stay warm for 10 to 15 min. Easy to clean. Great
