I love it!!! This one is better than the older ones. It browns all over without having to turn meat over. I haven't had to turn my oven on in months. Uses little energy and my electric bills prove it! Easy to clean too.

List price for the item might be OK but you have shipping charges and this is a heavy item. Instructions are useless,no 800 to call,no address,no E-Mail for
mfg or supplier. I had to go to Amazon search for the cook book & instruction book that should have come with the unit,another expense.
The unit: All parts are very heavy and glass,not easy for older people like me to handle. It also gets hot,which is no surprise,it is an oven. I noticed it
has a hum sound when warming up which does not bother me. Cleaning may be a big,big problem if you want to lift it into the sink to clean because of weight,
be careful not to drop,being wet makes it even harder to handle. It heats up fast and will be hot,hot be careful again when heating. Advantages would be you can see what you are cooking and will not heat up your kitchen like your oven. You do need some trial and error to cook properly with this unit.

This is probably the only item in Heartland America's Savoureux Pro Line that is worth having in your house. It does cook as advertised, but don't rely too heavily on the accuracy of the thermostat and timer. The times and temperatures listed in the owners manual will either leave your meat raw or overcooked. I have recorded my own time & temperature settings for various items so I'm happy with the results, but you need to experiment to get it right. The only other things to be aware of are the lid and the bowl. The lid is the heating unit and if you remove it from the bowl and are not careful where you place it, you could ruin a nice countertop and the bowl is really heavy and awkward for a smaller person to handle.
