Customer Rating:
Summary: Scalding danger! 2008-02-18
Comment: Use extreme caution with this roaster, and keep it far from children! (If you can, that is: the extremely short cord limits where you can place it.)
The "Lift" handle is on the lower front, immediately above the seam where the lid meets the base. The moment you lift it, scalding hot steam erupts around your hand. I was badly scalded, lost all the skin over my fingers and knuckles, and my doctor says I will have permanent discoloration on the back of my hand and fingers! The steam vents seem woefully inadequate to vent the steam. Wear an oven mitt when opening and keep it far from any young hands! There are no warnings on the roaster.
