1. The manual had the photos and directions backwards (mixed up left and right) which made it difficult to figure out how to assemble the pieces, It also used the term 'round end' when there is no round end. I eventually figured it out. 2. The end of the bar that is supposed to fit in the motor shaft doesn't, causing slippage. 3. The drip pan is too small and allowed the fat to get on the base of the unit. Very difficult to clean up as the base is not non-stick. 4. The food cooks very slowly. I've had the full-sized model for several years, so I know what to expect from this type of electrical appliance. As far as I'm concerned, the product does what it's supposed to do...cook small portions of food for one or two people. It's like using a toaster oven that turns the items over for you.
What I've cooked in it so far: 1/2" thick sirloin steak (about 10 oz. medium rare) in 7 min. 1/2" thick strips of steak marinated in teriyaki sauce in 8 min. 1/2" thick scallops in 10 min. 1/2" chunks of red skin potatoes, onion slices, and red peppers wedges in 30 min. All items were sprinkled with salt and pepper and coated with a bit of cooking spray. The potatoes and onions were nicely browned. The scallops were just starting to brown, but I didn't want to overcook them. The steak was no different than if I'd put it under the broiler element in my toaster...Read more 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Ronco ST2000WHGENZ Showtime Petite Rotisserie Oven (Kitchen) i just receive it .and when i saw it i was so small i did beleive it .it way to small .i was sure it was a joke.now the demention they say it not it at all .
