This rotisserie is perfect for a 4.5 to 5.5 lb whole chicken horizontally. It cooks fast, it has a normal rotation, a no heat rotation and a hold to sear setting. They come out with perfectly crispy skin each time. My ex-wife took mine so I went out and bought the same one here on Amazon. A great investment.

Delicious Rotisserie Chicken Every time! I roast chicken at least once a week, and the family never tires of it. It's cooked in the Compact Rotisserie by Ronco and comes out deliciously with crispy golden skin. I usually cook a small 3.5 - 4.5 lb. chicken. In 1 1/2 - 2 hours it is finished to perfection. For easier clean-up, soak the cooking tines and drip pan in soapy water right after you take the chicken out of the Rotisserie. Also, wipe down the inside of the rotisserie oven right away. Don't re-use the special elastics that come with it. They can be bought inexpensively from Ronco in bunches of 100.

I received my oven last week and cooked my first 6 pound chicken the following day. This is an amazingly simple to use oven. It took me less than 1 1/2 hour start to finish till I was sitting down trying out my first chicken. It turn out remarkable.
