Sunbeam 3822100 2-Slice Wide Slot Toaster , White

It's the perfect toaster -- simple, inexpensive, very attractive, has a neat feature that allows you to lift up a short piece of toast to give you easy access, and makes perfect toast.

I was looking for a basic, no frills toaster; this seemed to fit the bill.
However, the body is plastic, and after toasting english muffins in it twice (on a lite/med setting), the plastic surround of the openings/slots for the bread/muffin/bagel, melted all around.
Sunbeam used to be good brand; this is such a shoddy product I wonder if it even is a Sunbeam, or a knock-off.
Amazon's review process will not let me select no stars in order to post a review, so I had to give it one star in order to proceed. But the product is really zero stars.

Burned bread and melted plastic exterior, even at the lowest setting. Would not shut off automatically during second use. For practical and safety reasons, I would not recommend it at all.
