It's a great oven, I have been able to bake just about everything that I can make in my full-sized oven but without wasting energy and heating up my entire apartment. I have had trouble, however, getting good toast out of this. My toast is always hard and dry and barely browned when I try to toast bread. So far I have tried baking, broiling, and the convection oven, and my toast always comes out the same. On the bright side, this is my second convection toaster oven and I really like the quiet operation of the convection fan.  ok but......, By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: T-Fal OF1708001 17L Convection & Toaster Oven (Kitchen) After having an older model toaster oven, I was disapointed at the overall tin and light construction of this convection oven/toaster. It is so light and feels cheap but it cooks fine, the convection part is fine also. I went back to using my plain toaster since it toasts much faster than this item.
I bought this because of the name and the fact that my old one looked liked it was 100 years old, however it worked better than this one. I will keep it, it looks nice, I dont hate it, its just the same old saying... 'they don't make 'em like they used to.' |
