Summary: HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING !! 2008-08-16
Comment: I WAS DUPED INTO PURCHASING THIS TOASTER BY THE HIGH GOLD STAR RATINGS. IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT SEVERAL OTHER COMMENTERS HAVE MENTIONED, I.E., SLOTS TOO SHORT; UNEVEN TOASTING, ETC. I, TOO, HAVE HAD TO TAKE THE BREAD OUT OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TOASTER AND TURN IT OVER TO TRY AND GET A MORE EVEN PRODUCT. AS OTHERS STATED, THE HEATING ELEMENTS APPEAR NOT TO BE TURNING RED IN SUBSTANTIAL AREAS. I WILL GRANT THAT THE BAGEL FUNCTION WORKS WELL, BUT I DONT CARE TO BE LIMITED TO TOASTING BAGELS!! UNFORTUNATELY I GAVE THE PRODUCT THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT AND KEPT TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT COMBINATION TO GET THINGS RIGHT. AS A RESULT I KEPT IT BEYOND AMAZONS RETURN PERIOD AND COULD NOT RETURN IT.
T-FAL WAS NO HELP AT ALL, ONLY TELLING ME TO TAKE OR SHIP THE PRODUCT TO A SERVICE CENTER 50 MILES AWAY. SHIPPING OR TRANSPORTING IT WOULD ADD ADDITIONAL COSTS AND POSSIBLY NOT RESULT IN IMPROVEMENT, SO I AM CONTRIBUTING IT TO THE TRASH COLLECTOR AND WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER T-FAL PRODUCT.

Summary: Well, it looks nice ... 2008-08-07
Comment: ... but I returned it. Every manufacturer of toasters specify how 'wide' the slots are for toasting bagels, muffins, etc. But, they rarely specify how 'long' the slots are. The first thing I tried was a slice of "Levy's Real Jewish Rye". It wouldn't fit lengthwise. Failing that basic test, I packed it up and sent it back without trying to toast anything. If I can't fit bread into it, it's simply not worth having.

Summary: OK, But 2008-07-22
Comment: I use my toaster mostly for English Muffins which are hard to remove from most toasters. When I saw that there was a lever on this toaster that would lift the item in the toaster for easy removal, I thought someone had heard my prayers (imagine, praying for the right toaster!) so I bought it.
It came as advertised and I suppose with regular toast it works OK. But I still have a problem getting my English Muffins out because the lever does not lift them high enough for easy removal. Guess I need to start praying again.
Other than that, it's a good toaster.

Comment: Looking for a toaster that performs like a toaster should! A new look the goal! You will be pleasantly surprised. The features are great. The switch in the center that lifts your toast, the cool touch stainless, buttons for frozen or bagel, and crumb trays just to name a few. The great unique sleek look is an absolute bonus. The toaster no longer gets put away after use, it has a home on the counter.

Comment: Great toaster. Toasts evenly, easy to use, wide openings fit whatever you want to toast. Easy to remove items after toasting with separate lever gently lifting items out of the toaster. Easy to adjust darkness controls. Cleans easily.
