Summary: Terrible!! 2007-05-07
Comment: This toaster oven is downright dangerous!! I had a slice of toast catch on fire and another one almost burst into flames. There is no way to properly set the toast timer.. I had such high hopes for this appliance. I'm back to using my 15 year old toaster oven. At least I can trust it to toast consitantly!! I would highly recomend NOT purchasing this product!

Comment: Based upon reviews and having owned this brand before I would recommend it. Other models have a toast button - something this one lacks and is handy for just toasting a few slices of bread or such. The timer has to be turned with it in toast mode. Others have commented that the glass door can shatter - I've used this unit for several months and haven't had any problems.

Comment: I don't know about this particular model, but I bought a similar model, one with the removable insert, and the glass door exploded. Please read my web page before purchasing this item, at www.selectsmart.com/explodingtoastmaster.html Other people have reported fires and the exploding glass door on several similar Toastmaster models with the removable insert.
