Toastmaster 2-Slice Vintage Toaster, Chrome

This Toastmaster toaster arrived in great condition and on-time as promised. I was replacing my 1947 Toastmaster which I broke while trying to repair it. As no professional company is repairing small appliances I was forced to buy a new one. I wanted to match the chrome look of my old toaster. This new toaster so thin and lightweight that when I push the lever down to load the toast it falls forward, unsteady on its rubber base. It doesn't catch in the toast position everytime. The documentation states that if you are only making one toast, it may be more brown on the side that faces the middle. This tells me that they knowingly skimped on the thickness of a divider wall between the two compartments. It doesn't get as hot and takes longer to toast the bread than the older model. If you are looking for a good looking and cheap toaster this is the one for you.
