Professional- NOT!!!,
July 7, 2007 David D. Werner (Loma Linda, CA USA) - See all my reviews
The label on the machne advertises it as being a Professional appliance. When you look underneath the machine, it states that it is for home use only. And it isn't even good enough for that.... The plastic gears between the motor and the blender blade easily strip. Viking should be ashamed to put its name on this piece of scrap. Get the top of the line Oster, with metal drive gears, and save yourself $$$.

Plastic Oh-No Band,

The problem with this machine is the design-using plastic parts to drive plastic parts.
Here's a shocker...plastic breaks! I'm not sure who came up with this design, but they should turn in their engineering badge. I'm now shopping for a new blender with metal parts. Thanks Viking. The real Vikings would be ashamed to be associated with something so weak!

Viking Junk,

I purchased this blender for my wife as a gift from a local Viking outlet. After less than a years worth of use the blade stopped turning because the cheap plastic stripped. I called Viking customer service to explain my problem and they said "we sell new blades for $22". Wow, so much for product support!!! This is a shame since we really love our other Viking products. Never again will we purchase a Viking product.
