Amazon.com Review
Finally, a toaster that accepts a sliced bagel without getting it stuck. And not only that, the Uno Classic Toaster has a self-adjusting mechanism that automatically centers bread or bagels for even toasting. This toaster features a power switch that must be turned on in order to depress the lift control--no more slapping in a couple of slices only to come back later and find that you forgot to plug in the toaster. With five settings and a defrost option to chose from, you can have toast pale or extra-brown. --Dana Van Nest

Summary: Bad products, bad company 2009-12-14
Comment: I'd give Villaware zero stars if I could.
Bought a cookie press for my wife a few years ago, she used it 3 times and the plastic tube split on the 3rd time. It was normal, room temperature dough and the tube was less then half full. The company does not stand behind their products, don't offer replacement parts and then tell you to buy a whole new one.
I'll never buy another Villaware product of any kind.

Summary: Own it, fixed it! 2005-08-17
Comment: My parents gave me this toaster because the handle would not stay down. So I thought, easy fix. Well actually it was. If you look into the slot in which the the handle moves up and down, there is a thin wire that pivots up and down as you press down on the arm. This wire is very thin (like a whisker), well it just got bent out of the way of of the lever. Bend this wire back straight and watch it grab the lever. This is the electromagnetic mechanism switch. I actually bent it upward a little to make it a tad more sensitive. The wire is just simply to thin. Hope my advice helps.

Summary: A toaster almost as big as a Volkswagon 2004-03-30
Comment: a couple of years ago I purchased from Amazon a Villaware 4 slice toaster. It was costly as I recall so I expected it to actually toast fast and accurately. However, when it was delivered I realized it was bigger by far than a bread machine and found to my dismay that it takes about twice as long to toast bread than the ten dollar toaster it replaced. If I had purchased it at a local store, I would definitely have returned it.

Summary: Finicky Toast 2003-10-01
Comment: This toaster toasts somewhat unevenly and, unless you enjoy charcoal at breakfast, only a portion of the settings are useable. The other drawback with this toaster is that you'll have to get FAA clearance over for the trajectory that your toasted bread will take over your kitchen. I actually LOST a piece of toast behind my fridge for several minutes. It does look good, though, and I'm just waiting for the springs to wear out a little...

Summary: A good toaster for little bread. 2003-07-27
Comment: Medium to large slices of bread stick partially out of the toaster, and of course the part that sticks out doesn't get toasted. The sides don't get evenly toasted. Turning the bread slice over to even the toasting results in charcoal.
