The edges of the insert are sharp and difficult/uncomfortable to lift, especially when full. The temperature is rather difficult to judge and seems to be very hot or very, very hot. She has a tiny awful kitchen and it's very difficult to prepare a meal...so I figured she could make good use to this appliance.
Mom is hard to please, but she adores this cooker! She called me today to tell me about the fabulous ribs she rubbed, wrapped in foil and baked in the Waring. She did say that it gets extremely hot on the outside, so you have to be careful not to touch it or set anything too close to it.
