West Bend 71212 Studio Series 2-Slice Toaster

This toaster is a great purchse for the money. It is attractive and matches my new kitchen decor nicely. The slots are large enough for the biggest bagels! It also has 3 buttons next to the dial (I wasn't aware they were there) Defrost - Bagel - Toast/Cancel. It does not burn anything. I love this toaster!

Purchased this toaster for my new remodeled kitchen , and it blends in very well. It makes good crisp toast. I especially like the black trim at the top of the toaster because it doesn't leave fingerprints as you're removing the toast. Amazon -you're my store!

I really researched toasters before this purchase. I don't know why I was so anal about this - it was almost as though I was buying a car - but I'm SO sick of toasters that just cook one side, or that have so many nooks and crannies and lumps and bumps that crumbs land everywhere, or shiny stainless steel (gag!) fad appliances that show every fingerprint from here to heaven.

This toaster had really good reviews, so I took the giant leap and bought it. When it arrived, there was a suspicious rattle when the box moved, and indeed, a loose screw was floating around in the bottom of the box. But I took a few deep breaths and kept unwrapping.

To be honest, it looked a bit scruffy when I took it out of the box. The black 'rubber' part was kind of dusty-looking -- you know how rubber kind of gets a white-ish look if it's a little old. I put it back into the box with the lonely screw and planned to send it back.
