Summary: nice little oven for the breakroom! 2008-12-23
Comment: This is a nice little oven. It combines utility and perfection in a small size. It has a nice small footprint so it does not take up much room. For such a little thing, it is a real dynamo!
We use it in a staff breakroom. It gets a lot of wear and tear. It is holding up very well.
We have been making all sorts of things in it. Pizzas come out very well. We have even baked a pre-cooked ham in it. Every thing comes out very well, perfectly cooked and delectable!
The clean up is pretty easily done. All in all, we like it a lot!

Summary: Attractive, economical, highly recommended 2008-12-18
Comment: This fun little unit is a counter-top convection oven that is designed for baking pizzas, hors d'oeuvres, and other small foods. It has a relatively small footprint (meaning no pizza larger than 12 inches) and even when opened it fits comfortably on the counter-top beneath the cupboards. It's black and silver finish gives it an attractive look that means that you won't mind leaving it on the counter all the time.
You place the food on a revolving baking tray, and it cooks it in a quick and even manner, making it an excellent alternative to the microwave oven. I have an electric oven in the kitchen, which seems to take hours to warm up. This oven, on the other hand, begins cooking almost immediately, which means that it is more economical for small projects.
My family and I have found this to be a great new way to cook pizzas and mozzarella sticks and other snacks. We have had no problems with it so far, and look forward to using it for a long time to come. We all highly recommend this oven to you and your family.

Summary: Worked well, but overpriced for what it does 2008-12-18
Comment: I wasn't quite sure what to think of this item, as it wasn't a traditional toaster oven, but it also wasn't a George Foreman like grill either.
What I made with it came out pretty well, cooking frozen chicken breasts while keeping them juicy (unlike the George Foreman grill). I think this would be very useful if you're into making a lot of snacks, like pizza and chicken nuggets, but like all small appliances, its usefulness is limited by the room it takes up when you're not using it, the need to clean it after use, and the hassle of setting it up in order to use it.
I would gladly pay $75 for such an item, but the going price of almost $150 is too much for what it does.

Summary: Good at What it Does 2008-12-18
Comment: Your enjoyment of the QuikServe oven will, I think, depend largely on whether you properly understand what it does. Before you order it, make sure you know what you're getting. The description Amazon provides is really inadequate to know what this product is and does. And, unfortunately, you can't find a lot of information about it elsewhere online. So I guess your only recourse is to read some of these reviews.
This is not a microwave, not a toaster or toaster oven and, really, not like anything you've ever used before. This oven is ideal for cooking up snacks or for preparing small meals (for one or two people). It takes no time to heat up, so is good for those times that you are in a hurry and can't wait for the oven to preheat. If you've got teens who like to grab a quick snack--heating up some frozen pizza or chicken nuggets or the like, this is the perfect little device to help them do that. It is very easy to use--you're only a couple of buttons away from hot, well-cooked food. Operation is easy and clean up is easy. Do note, though, that it cooks food very quickly and if you walk away and forget about it, you're going to have a smokey mess on your hands in no time.
The only issue we've run into with the QuikServe oven is that we do not have countertop space for it. Hence we need to keep it stowed in the cupboards below. It weighs 10 or 12 pounds so is not too heavy to be lifting up and down, but we do feel that we'd use it more often if we had room to keep it out all the time.
Do you need this item? I can't imagine anyone really *needs* one of these, but I do think there are many people who can benefit from it. It is very good at what it does and I'm glad to recommend it.

Summary: Great for the teenagers! 2008-12-13
Comment: I have 3 teenagers and this oven is great for their constant need to snack. Frozen snack items like pizza rolls, etc taste so much better actually baked instead of microwaved. I haven't tried baking cookies yet so I can't comment on that. Looks great on the counter and my kids can feed themselves. What more could you ask for!
